Contact tracing infrastructure for Switzerland's hospitality sector. Built under Covid pressure. Deployed at national scale.
The challenge
March 2020. Switzerland needed contact tracing infrastructure in weeks, not months. Every restaurant, bar, and venue had to log visitors and alert them in case of a positive Covid case. The government mandated it, but provided no tool. SwissHelios built one from scratch.
What we did
NAS led the full development lifecycle across two companion apps: SocialPass for visitors, SocialScan for venue owners. We managed the dev team, coordinated releases, debugged 15 versions, and kept the system stable under national-scale pressure.
What started as a Canton of Vaud pilot became the officially endorsed solution for Switzerland's entire hospitality sector, then expanded to Germany and France.
